Camellia Phillips

Director of Development

As Director of Development, Camellia Phillips works with teams across Roosevelt — from program to communications to finance — to ensure that we’re communicating and collaborating with our foundation partners and other donors as effectively as possible. She is responsible for managing all aspects of Roosevelt’s foundation fundraising, including research, proposal writing, and reporting. Prior to joining Roosevelt, Camellia worked with leading organizations in the social justice and civic engagement fields, including State Voices, Center for Working Families, and Faith in Public Life. Camellia is also a writer outside of Roosevelt. Her fiction has appeared in CALYX Journal and Cream City Review, and her nonfiction in Voices of a New Generation: A Feminist Anthology. She is also a co-curator of the Guerrilla Lit Reading Series in NYC. She holds an MFA from the New School and a BA from Western Washington University.
