Carly Goettel

Vice President, Institutional Advancement, FDR Library

Carly Goettel joined the Institute team in 2016 as VP of Institutional Advancement for the FDR Presidential Library and Museum. A self-described history geek, Carly’s interest in the subject was piqued while living in the UK and exploring the castles and ruins of Europe as a child. She graduated from Binghamton University with a degree in Art History and began her career in the museum world at the Fenimore Art Museum in Cooperstown, NY.

Since moving to New York City a decade ago, she has held positions with the New York Botanical Garden, the American Folk Art Museum and the Irish Arts Center. Most recently, she held the role of AVP of Institutional Advancement for the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum. Carly is thrilled to join the team in supporting the efforts of the FDR Presidential Library and Museum. When not being totally floored by the Library’s incredible collection of 34,000 artifacts and 800,000 pages of archival documents, she can be found cruising around town in #RondhatheRedHonda.
