Deondre Morris is a Behavioral Interventionist at MacDowell Preparatory Academy, a K-8 public school on the west side of Detroit. He specializes in K-5 Behavioral issue and facilitates a social emotional learning group for scholars at the school in need of behavioral intervention. He is also the founder of The Root Program, a nonprofit 501c mentor program which targets at risk youth on the Southeastern side of Detroit. Deondre is an advocate for children and low-income families, as he hopes to develop economic solutions for the poor and disenfranchised. He hopes to just make the world a better place. He is also an Honor student at Wayne State University where he currently studies social work. Deondre is currently on the Dean’s list and is a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Deondre is inspired by his family as he pulls motivation for success from them and The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King.
