The United States is one of the only countries in the world without national paid family leave to support new parents. Many OECD countries guarantee up to 52 weeks of paid family leave for both mothers and fathers. In addition to improving outcomes for young children, just 15 weeks of paid family leave would have a measurable impact on U.S. GDP. according to some studies.
