Katy is a Program Director for the Roosevelt Institute’s macroeconomic work, including Roosevelt’s programs on trade, financialization and market power. While at Roosevelt, she managed the Financialization and 21st Century Economy programs and coauthored “Untamed: How to Check Corporate, Financial and Monopoly Power.” She comes to Roosevelt with a background in policy and advocacy through her experience organizing on political campaigns and working in federal and local government on financial regulation, housing policy and budget management.
Prior to joining Roosevelt, Katy worked as a budget analyst for New York City Office of Management and Budget. Before moving to New York, she was a legislative fellow in the U.S. Senate and worked as a management consultant with Department of the Treasury. Katy has an MSc in Regulation from the London School of Economics and B.A. in International Affairs and Spanish from the University of Colorado at Boulder. In her spare time, Katy enjoys getting lost in Prospect Park and traveling.
