Laurie Ignacio

Hi! My name is Laurie and I’m a digital strategist based in New York City. I care about: justice, art, journalism, public policy and the Internet.

I started my career as a public policy fellow at the Greenlining Institute, a racial and economic justice organization based in Berkeley. I went on to become an online organizer fighting for immigrant rights in the wake of Arizona’s racial profiling law SB1070 and in support of immigrant youth and fair representation in the media.

These days, I am at the Roosevelt Institute, using my keyboard to help rewrite the rules of the economy and combat inequality. In addition to digitally distributing Roosevelt’s scholarship and writing, I’ve been managing a major rebrand project and new website that you are enjoying right now!
