Roosevelt @ University of Georgia is part of a network of emerging leaders who focus on finding policy solutions at the University of Georgia.

The chapter meets weekly to discuss important issues occurring in our community and to craft policy solutions to solve these issues. Last year, 8 Roosevelt @ UGA members were published in Roosevelt’s10 Ideas Journal. Policies included language immersion for ESOL students and creation of rooftop gardens. Roosevelt @ UGA holds  Roosevelt Issues Forums (RIFs) and Voter Registration drives in addition to regular meetings. RIFs cover topics such as affirmative action, ISIS, big data, police brutality, and the Ebola outbreak. RIFs bring together students, members of the community, and experts in respective fields to discuss and learn in a collaborative environment.
