Roosevelt @ U of Michigan seeks to create an engaging, fun environment where students from all backgrounds and academic disciplines can build relationships with other students, impact public policy, and effect real change.
The chapter deepens understanding of state and local policy problems by engaging with local policy makers, professors, and leaders. These efforts inform topic specific policy discussions that power one of Roosevelt’s oldest and strongest chapters.To address the problems facing University of Michigan and its community, Roosevelters at UMich reach out to stakeholders, draft feedback based policy recommendations, and implement change.
The chapter also engages with other schools regionally and nationally. Roosevelters at UMich engage at the national level by submitting to Roosevelt’s 10 Ideas Journal, by serving in national leadership positions, and by engaging with other chapters in the region.
