Samantha Garzillo

Sam Garzillo (she/her/hers) is a Program Coordinator at the Aspen Institute’s Youth & Engagement Programs. She is a 2017 graduate of American University, where she was president of their Roosevelt chapter. During her college years, she was Regional Coordinator and New Chapters Coordinator for the Mid-Atlantic and was also published in 10 Ideas for a piece on the school-to-prison pipeline and mental health. Since graduating, she has also been engaged in the DC Roosevelt alumni community, Forge Fellowship mentorship committee, and is a 10 Ideas editor.You can find her exploring the city, reading, thrifting, taking TedX courses, listening to podcasts, ranting about the patriarchy on Twitter, or doing other very stereotypical DC millennial things.
