As a Research Associate for the Corporate Power program at Roosevelt, Ivan provides research support to authors and assembles external facing content.

As a research associate at the Roosevelt Institute, Ivan supports authors and contributes to content across an array of program areas, including work on race and democracy, climate policy, and curbing corporate power. 

Ivan received a Bachelor of Arts in public policy with a concentration in economic development from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is an alumni of the Roosevelt Network, for which he was a member of National Leadership and president of the University of Illinois at Chicago chapter from 2019 to 2020. 

Before joining the Roosevelt Institute, Ivan worked on faculty and graduate student union organizing and campaigns for ward-level progressives in Chicago, as well as on Illinois state-level organizing for the passage of Mental Health Early Action on Campus act in 2019. As part of the Roosevelt Network, Ivan developed policy proposals to provide subsidized entry costs to property ownership in divested communities in Chicago, pursuant to community control of public land for the provision of affordable housing and democratic land use.
