As the Chief Operating Officer, Jeff Krehely oversees the Roosevelt Institute’s programs and administrative departments, including the think tank, campus network, communications, advocacy, HR, legal, and finance. In this role, he supports the senior team in managing the day-to-day work of their departments and helps lead a number of cross-organizational projects and initiatives.
Krehely previously served as the Senior Vice President for Domestic Policy at the Center for American Progress (CAP), where he oversaw 10 policy areas, including family economic security, criminal justice, and immigration. He had previously worked at CAP as the Vice President of the LGBTQ Research and Communications Project, a department he founded. In addition, he has held senior leadership positions at the Human Rights Campaign, the National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy, and other organizations. He has also served as a consultant to a wide range of progressive policy and political organizations. He has a Master of Public Policy from Georgetown University in Washington, DC, and a BA in English from King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, PA.
