As the Chief Administrative Officer, Scott oversees the Roosevelt Institute’s administrative departments and supports a number of cross-organizational projects and initiatives. Scott has worked in senior leadership roles in the nonprofit sector for more than 20 years. Before coming to Roosevelt, he served as the Executive Director of the Coro New York Leadership Center, New York City’s premier leadership training program. Under his leadership, Coro developed a new strategic vision, expanded its programs, developed new partnerships with government and corporations, and greatly increased alumni engagement. Scott also worked for 10 years at Safe Horizon, the nation’s leading victim assistance organization, where he served as Chief of Staff and Chief Operating Officer, leading strategy and managing day-to-day agency operations. Scott started his career in public service working for New York City government.
Scott is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and holds a graduate degree in public policy from Columbia University. He volunteers on several boards and is committed to mentoring first-generation college students interested in careers in public service.
