As the Advocacy and Policy Manager, Trisha manages the Roosevelt Institute’s policy initiatives and advocacy strategies.

As the Advocacy and Policy Manager, Trisha manages the Roosevelt Institute’s policy initiatives and advocacy strategies. In this role, she is responsible for engaging with federal policymakers and advocates to further Roosevelt’s policy priorities and economic worldview.

Prior to joining Roosevelt, Maharaj was the Senior Advocacy Fellow at Population Connection, where she worked to further global reproductive freedom and end the Global Gag Rule. She holds a master’s in human rights studies from Columbia University and a BA in international studies from American University.
