Elijah helps work toward the Network’s vision for a strong, intergenerational pipeline of progressive professionals equipped to create change. In this role, he plans and executes the annual Fireside Chat Series to provide Roosevelters of every generation with access to progressive movement thought leaders and the chance to engage with exciting, paradigm-shifting ideas; he assists the Network national director and external relations manager in growing and supporting Roosevelt’s affinity groups and professional groups of practice; and he provides support for events that bring our community together, such as the Network’s annual Hyde Park Conference.
Prior to joining Roosevelt, Elijah worked at a local educational nonprofit in the city of Philadelphia, ensuring that children within the Philadelphia School District had a range of after-school activities that would keep them safe, engaged, inspired, and passionate about learning. He earned a certification of completion from American University (Washington Semester) with an emphasis on campaigns and elections and politics in 2017. Elijah also earned a BA in political science with a minor in Africana studies from Arcadia University in 2020.
