Alistair Stephenson is Chief Strategy and Impact Officer of the National Domestic Workers Alliance (NDWA), an organization working to win respect, recognition, and rights for the estimated 2.2 million domestic workers living in the U.S. He is a strategist in social impact and builder of progressive institutions with extensive strategy, people operations and communications experience.

Prior to NDWA, Stephenson was Chief of Staff at A-B Partners, a social impact consultancy based in New York. He has worked at the ACLU, where he led digital strategy in Michigan across immigration, LGBTI, and racial justice issues. In Australia, he led strategic planning for women’s rights organizations, including the Women’s March Australia and global NGO ActionAid, where he served as board director.

Stephenson is a Fellow at the CUNY School of Labor and also teaches part-time, most recently as a graduate lecturer at Wayne State University in Detroit. He holds a Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Sydney and now lives in Brooklyn, New York.
