Dominique Brown-Sampayo is the grants manager at Roosevelt, where they work closely with the rest of the development team to ensure sustainable funding for the Institute.


As the grants manager at the Roosevelt Institute, Dominique Brown-Sampayo researches and writes grant applications and stewards foundations and major donors. They also collaborate with development staff to strategize, streamline logistics, and cultivate donors.

Prior to joining Roosevelt, Dominique worked as the grant writer for Odyssey House Louisiana. They secured funding for a variety of medical, social services, and substance use disorder treatment programs across the organization. Dominique graduated magna cum laude from the University of New Orleans, where they received the Paul Sanford Memorial Prize for Outstanding Student in African American History.
