Matt Hughes is the deputy director of editorial strategy at the Roosevelt Institute, where he leads the editorial team in the shaping and production of publications, op-eds, speeches, and newsletters.

As the deputy director of editorial strategy, Matt Hughes leads the editorial team in the shaping and production of Roosevelt publications, op-eds, speeches, and newsletters. He recently worked on Roosevelt and the New Republic’s How to Save a Country podcast, and was previously a researcher in the Office of Joseph E. Stiglitz at Columbia University. Matt holds an MPA in urban and social policy from Columbia University and a BA in economics and politics from New York University.
