Prior to joining the Roosevelt Institute, Sunny worked as a project manager and researcher at a nonprofit helping local governments with equitable economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. Sunny graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a BA in economics and political science. There, he worked as a research assistant exploring how institutions and rules impact economic outcomes.
