Emily DiVito drives the think tank’s work outlining new solutions to protecting individuals and families as consumers in the economy and safeguarding the US financial system against risk.

Emily DiVito is currently on assignment with the US Treasury Department’s Inflation Reduction Act Program Office as part of the Intergovernmental Personnel Act (IPA) Mobility Program.

Emily is the deputy director for the corporate power program at the Roosevelt Institute. Her work focuses on inclusive banking and financial inclusion, financial technologies and regulations, and progressive taxation of wealth and the wealthy. She has testified before the US Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs regarding her research on deposit insurance. Her work has been featured in the Washington PostThe Guardian, and American Banker. DiVito holds a BA from Wellesley College and an MPA from Columbia University.
