Roosevelt Institute Welcomes Marissa Guananja and Scott Millstein to Executive Team
“As a partner, supporter, and friend of the Roosevelt Institute for many years, I could not be more thrilled to officially call myself a Roosevelter! Now more than ever we need to ensure our policymakers are creating an economy that works for the many, not the few. I’m excited to help lead a team of wonderful colleagues that are working to make this happen,” said Guananja.
Scott Millstein assumes the role of Chief Administrative Officer with over 20 years of senior leadership experience in the nonprofit sector. In this role, Millstein will oversee the Roosevelt Institute’s administrative departments and support a number of cross-organizational initiatives aimed at strengthening the organization’s equity practices and human capital strategies.Prior to joining Roosevelt, Millstein served as the Executive Director of the Coro New York Leadership Center. Under his leadership, Coro developed a new strategic vision, expanded its programs, developed new partnerships with government, and greatly increased alumni engagement. Millstein also worked for 10 years at Safe Horizon, where he served as Chief of Staff and Chief Operating Officer, leading strategy and managing day-to-day agency operations. Millstein started his career in public service working for New York City government. Millstein is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and holds a graduate degree in public policy from Columbia University.
“We are entering an exciting period of rapid growth, and a high-functioning administrative team is crucial to our continued success,” said Felicia Wong, President and CEO of the Roosevelt Institute. “I could not be more excited to have Marissa and Scott join our team as we continue to drive a progressive economic agenda that can best respond to today’s challenges.”
