Sally Minard is the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of the Four Freedoms Park Conservancy, Inc. The Conservancy operates and maintains the Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms Park, a new presidential memorial and state park on Roosevelt Island, New York, designed by Louis I. Kahn. Sally also serves on the Roosevelt Institute Board of Directors.
Sally founded Lotas Minard Patton McIver, an advertising firm whose clients included New York Hospital, Procter & Gamble, NYU Stern Business School, and Hearst Corporation. She was also a Director of Loral Space and Communications, Inc. Sally is a member of the New York Smith Club, Emily’s List, Eleanor Roosevelt Legacy Committee, New York Junior League, Royal Oak Society, and Women’s Forum.
Chair emeritus of the Democratic National Committee Women’s Leadership Forum in New York State, Sally was cochair of National Volunteer Coordination for Hillary Clinton for President in 2008. Sally was formerly president of Advertising Women of New York and the New York Women’s Agenda, and previously served as district leader on the 73rd AD on the Upper East Side.
At Smith College, Sally earned a BA in history and was student government president. She and her husband, Norton Garfinkle, raised two children in New York and raise Black Angus cattle and miniature donkeys in New Jersey.
