Funda Ustek Spilda

Funda Ustek Spilda is senior lecturer and Southeast Asia programs lead in the department of digital humanities at King’s College London. She is also a research associate at the Oxford Internet Institute, University of Oxford. Spilda previously held research posts at the London School of Economics and Goldsmiths, University of London. She researches topics related to the digital economy, AI and work, future of work, and platform work from a gender, migration, and fairness and ethics perspective. Her research has been published in leading journals, including Big Data and Society, Environment and Planning D, Science & Technology and Human Values, AI & Society, and Global Networks.
