Zehra has spent her career working at the intersection of economic policy and communications. She most recently served as speechwriter and policy advisor to Chair Lina Khan at the Federal Trade Commission. Previously, she served as communications specialist at the Council of Economic Advisers, where she worked with economists and White House policy offices to develop economic messaging materials in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. Khan also served as the Michigan press secretary for the Biden-Harris presidential campaign, where she built and executed a state-wide communications strategy to mobilize voters in a key battleground state. Khan holds a B.A. in political science and economics from McGill University.
