The Roosevelt Network Alumni Community brings together former members who are committed to advancing bold ideas and systemic change. Grounded in shared values and a history of impact, the community offers space to connect, collaborate, and continue the work of building a more equitable future. Alumni play a vital role in supporting current Network students—through mentorship, opportunities, and shared experience—ensuring that the next generation of leaders is equipped to meet the challenges ahead.

Mentor Programs

The Roosevelt Network is an intergenerational community united across geographic and demographic differences by our shared Rooseveltian desire to rebalance power in our economy and our democracy.

Mentorship is a cornerstone of the Network’s intergenerational programming. Every student enrolled in a Network Undergraduate Fellowship is paired with a Network alum for the duration of their Fellowship. Fellowship graduates in the first year out of college are eligible to enroll in our Young Professionals Mentoring Program (YPMP) for targeted support during a critical transitional period.

Serving as a Roosevelt Mentor is an important commitment to our community. Mentors receive onboarding training and ongoing support, as well as opportunities to connect with each other.

Roosevelters know that collaboration is crucial to work toward and realize our vision for a more progressive tomorrow. Mentorship taps into this powerful community and supports collective learning and organizing. Sign up to be a mentor today

In college, my outlet was the Roosevelt policy journal and lecture series, which pushed me intellectually, gave me the opportunity to work with students across the country with similar ideology, and instilled in me a desire to focus my career on rebalancing who had access to opportunity and power.

Pipeline Development

The Roosevelt Network knows that who writes the rules matters. In our collective pursuit of an economy and democracy that work for us all, and most especially for those who hold identities historically denied political and economic power, we work to prepare and position our Network members for professional success in progressive spaces.

Network members from student Fellows to mid-career professionals have access to a range of pipeline development services and activities. Network staff provide support with resumes and applications; members receive job posts and connections through our Professional Pipeline Communities and other platforms; and the Network offers a variety of professional learning opportunities through in-person and virtual events.

As I was grappling with building a new worldview, I found the Network: a place where my ideas for a more just world were taken seriously. A place that helped me sharpen that worldview and think about what it would take to see it realized. I found support, mentorship, and friendship that helped me grow—continues to help me grow—into a better organizer and a sharper progressive leader.

Community Programs

The Roosevelt Network community — inclusive of current undergraduates through mid-career professionals — is a two decade old, intergenerational network of millennials and Gen-Z, united by a progressive, pro-democracy, post-neoliberal worldview and stewardship of the legacy of Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt.

The Roosevelt Network is a moral and political home for members. The Network hosts a variety of convening opportunities each year, both in-person and virtually, that bring our community together around current intellectual and cultural issues. Roosevelters of all ages are invited into robust conversation with each other, as well as bright thinkers and big doers who are working toward an economy and democracy that works for us all.

Network members are also engaged with the larger Roosevelt Institute community through The Roosevelt Society events and initiatives.
