Civics Education Bootcamp

The Roosevelt Society is excited to launch our fall 2025 Nuts and Bolts of Democracy: Civics Education for Emerging Leaders program. This virtual training & certification course will demystify how various institutions in the federal government function and help you apply that knowledge to better understand ongoing policy and governance conversations. Part autonomous learning, and part cohort-based discussion groups, the program is intended primarily for undergraduate college students and designed to:

  • Give you meaningful access to leading policymakers, civil servants, and scholars;
  • Provide a flexible, part-autonomous learning experience;
  • Create a cohort experience so you walk away with meaningful relationships;
  • Help you better understand what’s happening in the news by applying your civic learning to ongoing policy and governance conversations;
  • Welcome you to the broader Roosevelt Society community.

Participants should enroll in one group and attend that group’s meetings for the duration of the program.

Roosevelt Society Summit

In January 2024, in Washington, DC, we celebrated the launch of the Roosevelt Society with our inaugural Roosevelt Society Summit. Bringing together a community of people from across generations and professional backgrounds, we had a day and a half of connection, learning, and community-building.
